Video: Cookbook challenge

This is my very first video blog post! I blame Miss Sue Flay and Laura from Laptops and Lullabies. They talked me into it on Twitter. It's a bit nerve-wracking and the quality is not great, but it was kind of fun. And it contains an idea for helping you use all those cookbooks that have got your shelves moaning and groaning.

It also features a delicious slice of rhubarb cheesecake - the recipe can be found here.

So, I hope you enjoy. Any feedback gratefully received. If I do it again, I will try to get the proper video camera working, rather than just the camera on my laptop. And I would try to make it shorter - it's amazing how quickly 5 minutes flies by!

  1. Oh well done Nora, this is very brave of you. Think this is great as a first attempt. I've never tried making a video so don't really know what's involved, but perhaps a bit of editing to make it slightly shorter would make it even better.

    1. Yes, I think shorter would definitely be better Choclette! I didn't do any editing at all - was going with the slightly rough and ready spirit of the other two I mentioned and just trying to get something out there before I lost my nerve. But I can't believe it was 5 minutes - just shows how I waffle on! Will have to rein that in next time.

  3. Very brave of you - I'm not organised enough or brave enough to do a video post! I like your cookbook challenge idea, especially because other people will choose things you wouldn't choose to cook!

I don't think I'd be brave enough to do a video post!
The cookbook challenge is a great idea, I have so many that I buy and then look at the pictures and then just leave it on the shelf ;)
